Miso Salted Cookies (Easter Special)

Sweet, salty, chewy cookies with a hint of miso magic.

 

Serves: 12–14 cookies
Time: 25–30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 150g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2–3 tbsp Miso Magic
  • 100g chocolate chips (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment.
  2. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in flour, baking powder, and Miso Magic until a soft dough forms.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  6. Scoop dough onto the tray, spacing cookies about 5cm apart.
  7. Sprinkle lightly with flaky sea salt.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are golden but centres still soft.
  9. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
